Master Gardeners are volunteers trained to assist the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension in reaching its mission to bring relevant, research-based information in horticulture to the public.
Requirements to become a certified Master Gardener include:
- 72 hour training course attendance
- 60 hours of volunteer service in Extension approved activities.
Requirements to maintain certification:
- 30 hours of volunteer service annually in approved activities
- 10 hours of continuing education from approved sources
